ok this chest has had some recent restorations , a new base fitted, areas of new timber around the base , there is some bits of filler knocks dints bumps and scars BUT it has a wonderful front with its original iron escutchion no key or lock , the top unusually has concentric circles scratch carved in with a compass , so its over 300 years old with restoration works done , its a good useable box and a nice size not too big not too small please do examine all the pics there is a tape measure for scale
