Antique Wollensak Optical Co. lens and shutter assembly on original-style wood lens board for a large format view camera.

Marked:

The shutter is the early Wollensak Regular type, and this style dates to the early 1900s. This is a nice original antique camera component with good display appeal and real usefulness for collectors, restorers, or large format enthusiasts.

The shutter appears to function for the most part, but it is not freshly serviced. In testing, it can sometimes stick when the lens is pointed upward, though it tends to work more normally when facing forward in a typical camera position. Because of that, it should be sold as working but likely in need of future shutter maintenance/service if the buyer intends regular photographic use.

The lens is marked 5x7 High Grade Symmetrical. The assembly includes the wood lens board and retaining ring shown. Optics are good, no observable scratches. The lens needs to be cleaned. This is an early brass-era Wollensak setup and is being sold as a vintage photographic item, not as a modern ready-to-use lens.
