Original WWII German Navy (Kriegsmarine) Side Cap – U-Boat Type – Size 58–59
This is an original German Navy (Kriegsmarine) side cap from around the Second World War period.
The cap is believed to have been manufactured in occupied France, as indicated by a stamp inside the lining (partially difficult to read – please see photos).
It is made from high-quality wool fabric with careful stitching, and the insignia appear to remain original to the cap.
The cap shows signs of use, but there are no noticeable stains, heavy dirt, or moth damage. Overall it remains in very good condition for its age.
The interior size marking appears to read 59 or possibly 58 (partially difficult to read), and the cap is relatively large in size, approximately 58–59 cm.
