Antique Victorian to early Edwardian solid wood pedestal occasional / wine table dating to circa 1890–1915.

Constructed with a circular plank top raised on a turned central column and heavy stepped circular base with 3 shaped feet. A classic English country house form, ideal as a wine table, lamp table, hallway table, plant stand, sofa side table or statement occasional piece.

The top has been sanded and refinished at some stage in its life. There are still visible historic dark / black stains within the grain which have not completely lifted. There is general age-related surface wear, marks and patina throughout consistent with genuine antique use. This could easily be refinished if chosen.

The underside shows traditional plank construction with applied support battens. The tabletop is secured with four flathead screws rather than eight. This does not affect use in any way and the table remains very solid and sturdy.

Flathead screws and construction are consistent with the period.

The table may be dismantled for safer shipping (top removed from base) and will be clearly wrapped and protected.
