RIC IV Trebonianus Gallus 116A

**SCARCE DENOMINATION FOR SCARCER EMPEROR**

By this time period in the history of Roman numismatics, the old style denominations of sestertii and dupondii, had begun to be replaced by other, smaller bronze types and these would eventually disappear completely by the end of the 3rd Century; Gallus is a scarcer Emperor who ruled for a very short period and as such many coins issued in his name are scarce to rare, such as this specimen; OCRE and auction archives list roughly 3 dozen examples in varying degrees of preservation, some sold for less than $50 and others in excess of $400; this specimen would fall in the middle and likely fetch $150-250

All coins are authentic and from my own personal collection. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

Over the coming weeks I will be adding more fixed price listings of Late Roman Bronze Coins so please check back with me.

If there is any specific type you are looking for let me know. I have an extensive Late Antique collection with AE and some AR issues dating from the mid 3rd Century AD to the 8th Century AD
