The Supermicro AOC-S3816L-L16IT is a SATA / SAS HBA that lets you increase the number of hard drives connected to your server or workstation. The host bus adapter has a PCIe x8 4.0 interface as well as 16 internal ports for SATA or SAS drives via 2 SlimSAS SFF-8654 ports. The maximum data transfer rate is 12 GBps. It is universally compatible with all known brands and uses the same chipset as the model Broadcom 9500-16i, making it functionally identical. The HBA is flashed to the latest IT mode firmware. Delivery includes full and low profile brackets for installation.
