Description

This is the Genuine Hyundai OEM A/C compressor, manufactured by Halla (Hanon Systems). The 2012 Azera uses a Variable Displacement compressor. Unlike older styles that cycle on and off using a loud magnetic clutch, this unit stays engaged and uses an internal Electronic Control Valve (ECV) to adjust cooling capacity. Common failures include the ECV failing (where the air stays lukewarm) or internal piston "seizing" due to oil starvation.
