An exceptional limited edition work by the French master Fernand Leger (1881 - 1955) commonly known as "The Singer on the Radio" or by the microphone.  The website for the extraordinary de Young and Legion of Honor Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco describe the work as "La Chanteuse de la radio, plate 26 in the portfolio La Ville (Paris: Teriade 1959)".  Internet research reveals that Leger's complete Album X portfolio was comprised of 29 different images.  Personally, I think this is the coolest one of the twenty nine. It is an original piece printed in the 1950s, numbered in pencil, and not a cheap reproduction.

       Paper has toned over the past 60+ years, but overall, the colors are still very strong and vibrant. Authentic signed and numbered (s/n) prints by Leger are difficult to obtain at a reasonable price.  You will not be disappointed in this vivid work. 

        The plexi glass plastic cover does have some scratches which are seen in the direct light photographs.  No scratches or marks on the image itself.
