A part of my Early Series collection. This design is one of two designs printed from my earlier calander pieces, while living in Cairns. I have uploaded a photo of both the cover and the cockatoo piece for that years calander, at the end of the photos in this listing. That year, I added verses to each piece.

From the street I was living on, there were many cockatoos that would fly from tree to tree each day, so I wanted to capture this in such a way as to make the cockatoo itself, the main part of this drawing. Such large birds who do an amazing job at dispersing seeds where ever they go in their groups.

I have one that visits my current place, a couple of times a day he just drops in, no calling out, he just walks himself across the clothesline and finds what he is looking for. I have affectionately called him Mr Dangles, due to his ability to hang upside down on the clothesline to reach his destination!
