This multi-tool pocket knife with six functioning tools and a hoop ring to attach a key ring to has a logo stamped on the main blade by the manufacturer.
It appears to be three letters inside of a box. The three letters are clearly “A T M” - inside of a square.
The three letters are stacked on top of each other, the “A” is on top which overlaps the “T” and the “M” is on bottom.
This is believed to be the manufacturer and not a 3 initial monogram of original owner.
Please look at photos of this logo. It would be wonderful if someone could help me identify this brand.
I only assume the country of origin is made in the USA, but it could be Italy, or even Germany.
The pocket knife uses a common slip joint lock.
The handle material appears to be made of bone.
It has three brass rivets and a fourth rivet which holds in the hoop ring.
It has 3 solid brass bolster linings.
The 6 tool functions are:
I can make out some of the lettering that is engraved on the hoop ring. It’s very worn down, but I believe it is marked “PATENT PEND.”
The main blade has been modified from its original shape. It used to be much longer. There is even a little improvised little slit, so the knife can be opened. You can clearly tell that was not put there by the manufacturer. The original length of the main blade was at least 4-1/2 inches.
The handle appears to have some paint drips or a paint stain on one side and also grooves made by a grinder or a file on the other.
