RARE FULL SET of Lithuanian FIRST REPUBLIC Coins!!!

1920s1930s. PRE WAR LITHUANIAN

A complete and carefully assembled set of 14 original Lithuanian litas coins from the era of the First Independent Republic of Lithuania. This collection represents the core coinage of interwar Lithuania and includes both circulation pieces and commemorative issues, among them the famous 10 litų silver coin with President Antanas Smetona.

Following the restoration of independence in 1918, Lithuania introduced the litas as a symbol of sovereignty, stability, and national rebirth. The coinage of this period reflects the country’s deep historical roots and strong sense of identity, combining medieval symbols with modern statehood.

The highlight of the set is the 10 litų commemorative silver coin, issued to mark the anniversary of Lithuanian independence. It features the portrait of Antanas Smetona, the first President of Lithuania, and iconic national emblems such as the Columns of Gediminas. This coin is widely regarded as one of the most important and desirable pieces of Lithuanian numismatics.

The collection also includes various 1 and 5 centų coins with different designs, as well as other denominations, showcasing a range of national symbols. Among them are the Vytis (the Knight) — a powerful emblem of courage and statehood — and other heraldic motifs rooted in Lithuania’s medieval history.

In total, the set consists of 14 coins, including six silver coins, with the remaining pieces struck in base metals typical for small denominations of the period.

Condition:

All coins show natural signs of age and circulation, which is expected for genuine pieces from the interwar period. However, overall condition is very good for such a rare and complete set. Details remain clear, surfaces are honest, and the collection presents beautifully as a whole. Please refer to the photos for an accurate impression of condition.

Historical And Collectible Value:

Coins of the First Lithuanian Republic circulated only for a short time before the loss of independence in 1940. Because of this, complete sets are increasingly difficult to find. This collection represents a tangible piece of Baltic history — a nation asserting its freedom, culture, and identity between two world wars.

Gift And Investment Appeal:

An excellent choice for collectors of Baltic or European numismatics, history enthusiasts, or anyone seeking a meaningful and authentic historical gift. Combining precious metal content, rarity, and historical depth, this set offers lasting collectible and cultural value.

A genuine numismatic legacy of independent Lithuania — preserved through time and history.
