This product is the actual ROM IC that replaces the DOS or KERNAL ROM IC in your CBM unit.  The unit comes preprogrammed with the correct version of JiffyDOS.

 **NOTE: In order to take advantage of JiffyDOS functionality, you need a ROM in both the drive and the C64/128/SX64.  Also, you CAN have the JiffyDOS ROM in your 1541/71/81 and operate under the normal operating system, you will simply not get the fast load and features of JiffyDOS until the system ROM is in place.
