Details
With traditional dropped base air cleaners air enters the filter and then changes direction multiple times to get through the carburetor, this causes turbulence, friction, and heat. The flat air cleaner eliminates this turbulance and provides a smooth transition to the carburator. The flat air cleaner bottom moves the air cleaner farther away from the engine heat, so air comes in, stays cooler, and just rolls down into the carburetor.
