A mid to late Victorian rare William Marples & Sons,  ⅛ inch mortice , 4¼ inch long blade, the blade stamped WMARPLES&SONS. SHEFFIELDFORGED?, the trademark 3 leaf shamrock stamped at the end and laid on it's side, the shank corroded and pitted, tang broken and handle missing, contained in a tooled leather sheath with decorated brass chape with suspension chain and hook, overall 4¾ inches.
