Carefully read instructions so that you don’t damage the pen or Touchdown Refill Mechanism. The barrel fits tightly to the nib section with a rubber washer, see pictures. You can see the 23k gold electroplate converter when you take the barrel off. The ballpoint pen is twist mechanism.
