VINTAGE 1948 Home Economics Textbook: YOUNG FOLKS AT HOME (Hardcover)
By Florence LaGanke Harris & Treva E. Kauffman
This is a wonderful piece of mid-century educational history! This is an original, vintage textbook, "Young Folks at Home," used for Junior High School Home Economics education in the late 1940s. A fantastic find for collectors of vintage cookbooks, domestic science books, or curriculum history.
This book is 77 years old and has the authentic wear expected of a heavily used junior high textbook from the era. It is complete and structurally sound.
• Binding: Solid and tight. All pages are securely attached, and the book opens and closes well.
• Exterior: The cloth hardcover is a faded tan/brown color with surface scuffs and general shelf wear. There is noticeable fraying and rubbing wear on all corners and at the top/bottom of the spine. The title and cover illustration are legible.
• Interior Pages: Pages are intact, clean, and fully readable. Consistent, pronounced age-tanning (yellowing/toning) is present throughout the book due to the paper quality used in 1940s textbooks.
