ITEM CONDITION: We are pleased to offer for sale a McKee Depression Era Chalaine Blue "Sarah" Vase. This beautiful large vase is in Undamaged Condition without chips, cracks, or major mold imperfections. The vase has a nice even Chalaine blue color throughout. The inside of the vase is nice and clean. This wonderful vase was gently used and does not show signs of age or use. We currently have two McKee Sarah vases for sale via eBay. The other one is the even harder to find small size. Please see the comparison picture shown with this listing. Only the 8" vase is for sale with this listing.
Chalaine Blue(1930s) - McKee was one of the most innovative glass companies of the Depression Era. They were certainly well versed in what people wanted to decorate their kitchens. They offered many colors and shades in milk glass to help complement the kitchen or dining room era. Chalaine Blue is a light robin's egg blue color that gave a homeowner more of a choice than just the standard Delphite color. Chalaine Blue kitchen items can be found in almost any shape available in McKee's Delphite Blue color . Chalaine Blue was quite popular, but it did not sell as well as Delphite. As a result, it is harder to find today. It is one of the prettiest Depression Glass colors to have ever been created so it is well worth the extra effort and time it takes to collect it.
