Tenerife Rock Climbing Guidebook and Topo

The Tenerife rock climbing guidebook (Escalada en Tenerife) describes 17 rock climbing and sport climbing areas in Tenerife. The guidebook describes over 1,300 routes across a wide range of grades, including Arico, the largest climbing area and the centre of climbing in Tenerife. There are 299 routes up to F6a, 559 routes between F6a+ and F6c+, 336 routes between F7a and F7c+, plus 143 routes from F8a and above.

All the routes are illustrated on full colour photo-topos with French sport grades uséd throughout (including the small number of trad routes described). At the start of each area there is a brief description of the style of the climbing to be found, a good location map, information how to get there, and GPS co-ordinates for the parking areas. The number of routes across each grade band is shown in a table, along with approach time and the suitability of the crag for children.

Published in April 2022 (revised 2nd edition) this guidebook is written in Spanish and English text throughout. Written by local climbers, part of the profits of this guidebook will be uséd to purchase material for the bolting and re-bolting of the routes on Tenerife.
