Hand Carved Wisdom Knot Ashanti Stool. 20^th Century Ceremonial Piece from Ghana, Vintage 1960s

This is a unique, smaller size ceremonial Ashanti stool. They hold significant cultural, spiritual, and historical importance within the Ashanti society. They are symbols of power, authority, and prestige.

Creating one of these sophisticated stools is no simple task. Each one is carved from a single block of wood, the process requires masterful skill, and an understanding of Ashanti cosmology.

NOTE: this vintage stool is in great condition, but it got caught in the rain at some point so it has water stains. See pics. This can be fixed by painting it. Or, because this is part of its history, it can be left as is, The piece is gorgeous nevertheless.
