Cairn Studio Ltd (also known as Tom Clark Gnomes, Tim Wolfe Gnomes etc...) issued COA's (Certificate of Authenticity) to original purchasers with various information on it such as Edition No (which is the actual number of the piece produced for example Edt #10 would have had 9 others of the same design made before it) COA's did vary in look, design and information over the years - Many of the Figurines were hand cast, thus overall number of pieces (or Editions, as they refer to them) produced/made, tended to be very low
Unlike other Decorative Collectibles, they did not define a maximum number of a design that would be produced or by X date X quantity rather had an S-T-R rating or Sell Through Rate
For figurines that we are selling, Edition Numbers on COA's match identifying information on the Figurine (unless otherwise noted)
While Tom Clark Gnomes are considered Decorative Collectibles, they were hand cast with very few (many had less than 50) of each being made during the 1980's. Production ended in 1993. The Artist, Thomas Clark passed away, 2022
