The Matisse DSD is a digital-signage display made by DMG (via their DIDO brand) specifically designed for elevator cabins. It’s not just a floor indicator — it’s a full-on multimedia platform.
It’s often called “Mirage” in DMG’s Visual & Media Systems category.

Physical Design & Build
• Screen size: 15.6″ TFT
• Versions / Thickness:
• H50: 50 mm thick (protruding from the wall)
• H23: 23 mm thick, available in flush-mount (cut-out version) or surface-mount.
• Visible area: ~344.2 × 193.6 mm, 16:9 aspect ratio
• Display technology: IPS panel, which gives good viewing angles and color.
• Protection rating: IP2X (so some protection, but not fully sealed)

Performance / Hardware
• Resolution: Full HD (1920 × 1080)
• Memory:
• 2 GB LPDDR4 RAM
• 8 GB eMMC storage (for media, content, firmware)
• Power Requirements:
• Runs on 24 V DC ±10% for its “position input” — typical for elevator electronics.
• Power consumption: draws up to ~1,000 mA at that voltage.
• Operating Temperature Range: –10°C to +50°C, so they expect it in a bit of a range but not extreme cold/hot.

Connectivity & Networking
• Network: Ethernet (wired) connection is supported; can also be connected through Ethernet extenders.
• Content Management Software: Uses MosaicONE, a cloud-based CMS that lets you manage the content displayed.
• Mounting Options: Because of the two thickness versions (H50 / H23), you can do surface mount or flush mount (cut-out) depending on how the elevator cabin is built.

Multimedia Features
This is more than a static floor display. DMG designed it to be an infotainment device:
• Audio:
• It supports background music while the elevator moves.
• Has an AUDIO OUT port for external speakers (jack) — recommended to use external speakers for better sound.
• Video & Images:
• Can show video and image playlists.
• Supported image formats: JPEG, PNG, TIFF, GIF, EPS.
• Supported video formats: MP4, MOV, AVI, MPEG.
• Transition effects between content (e.g., fade) are configurable; default is a 10-second fade but you can change it.
• Themes: It comes with 8 built-in graphic themes, and you can create custom ones via MosaicONE or ask DMG’s designers to make something tailored.

Safety / Compliance
• The DSD version is updated to comply with EN81-28:2018, which is relevant for elevator safety regulations.
• There are detailed wiring and mounting instructions for safe installation (wall cut-out dimensions, mounting versions, etc.) in the official manual.
• In case of faults (power, network, hardware), the display has diagnostic indicators (like a FAIL red LED) and shows error conditions.

Use Cases
• Elevator Cabin Display: Mainly used in elevators to display not just the floor position but also richer multimedia content (news, ads, tenant info, building announcements).
• Infotainment: Can be used for background music + video + images.
• Digital Signage: Because of the cloud CMS (MosaicONE), it’s very flexible — you can push scheduled content, dynamic data (weather, news, RSS), or static signage.
• Mounting Flexibility: The two thickness options (H23, H50) let the device fit different cabin designs — flush or surface mount.
