The
Cox Thermal Hopper .049 is a classic Thimble-Drome “contest engine,” presented here on its original blister card with propeller and accessory capsules (starter spring and mounting screws) as shown.
Sold as-is, untested due to the unopened packaging.
Please reference the included images for item/package condition. I have tried to highlight any issues I can see with the engine in the photos. The engine has been kept in a basement collection for the better part of thirty years. Card shows edge/corner wear, light surface soiling, and age toning; clear blister is yellowed/clouded with scuffs and dents but remains attached overall. The red display tray has edge splits/creases and typical storage wear. There is some significant denting/cracking on the top and bottom of the underside of the red tray, along with small cracks at various points along the edges.
Ships with USPS Ground Advantage.
I am currently adding a large number of engines, spanning from the 1940s to early-2000s. Please check my other listings if you're interested.
