About this item
This is a beautiful 'Flower Girl' figurine vase, designed by Elsi Bourelius for Jie Gantofta, Sweden circa 1960s.
A Scandinavian design classic, so reminiscent of the era. These came in many different glazes, wonderfully stylised in stoneware, pared back Nordic mid century design, the grey stoneware showing on the cradled arms and blank face, contrasting with the glossy glazes in mottled blue.
There is a hole where the arms meet for holding a single stem or some small fresh or dried flowers, this still has the original bouquet of dried, but equally perfect as a display figurine.
Would make an excellent addition to any retro, vintage, mid century, 1960s, minimalist or contemporary styled interior.
In excellent condition, no chips or crazing, no marking label has been taken off she is on a beveled glass disk
