Children of all backgrounds can learn about different Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures around Australia through the stories and exercises. The activities follow cross-curricular lesson plans written by Australian Indigenous teachers and are aligned to Key Learning Areas in the National Curriculum designed to help teachers introduce Indigenous culture in the classroom.
All profits from the sale of the Teter Mek workbooks go to the Teter Mek Foundation. The foundation will reinvest those funds to create more stories and workbooks from different Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander language groups and communities around Australia to share many of the beautiful stories from around the country.
