The bag has a hard outer covering for water resistant protection, a soft handle for easy transport and a dual access zipper for flexibility. It has three back-to-back compartments for pens/pencils and one zippered area for miscellaneous items with two horizontal pouches. Two of the three pencil compartments are detachable. It is new and has never been used but it no longer has its original packaging.
