This auction is for a used Vintage Calvary Horse Bit Stamped - US #1  W. L. WITH CHAIN - 1015253

Marking on the bit - look at the pictures

This is a used calvary bit - I have not cleaned it up - previous owner collected horse bits that found in the united states - it has a marking of number 1 and US on the port with WF - The "W. L." stamp on a cavalry horse bit likely indicates that it was manufactured by the White-Horse LeCompte Manufacturing Company of New York. The mark is typically found on the mouthpiece of a Model 1909 curb bit, a design that was used by the U.S. Army through World War II - 1 is for the size port 4-3/8" - 7" shank - one shank is bent outward - look closely to the pictures for the condition and size..

Please look at the pictures closely to see the condition
