The AMD Am29000, also known as the 29K, is a 32-bit RISC microprocessor introduced by AMD in the late 1980s. This Am29000-25GC variant runs at 25MHz and was widely adopted for embedded applications, thanks to its clean architecture and strong compiler support. It offered a scalable register window system, making it highly efficient for systems with frequent context switches or deep procedure calls.
This particular Am29000-25GC comes in a beautiful ceramic PGA package,  showcasing the classic AMD logo and styling. Each chip is provided with its original tray, ensuring safe storage and excellent pin protection,  perfect for collectors or for use in restoration projects.
