The VIA C3 800MHz is part of VIA’s Nehemiah series, launched in the early 2000s as a cost-effective and power-efficient alternative to Intel and AMD CPUs. Built on the x86 architecture, it provided full compatibility with mainstream Windows applications. This particular chip runs at 800MHz with a 133MHz front-side bus and a 6.0 multiplier, requiring only 1.25V. Nehemiah cores improved performance with an enhanced FPU and SSE support, making them a surprisingly capable solution for light desktop tasks, embedded systems, and thin clients.
