Kenneth Brannagh's forgotten film from the late 1990s is a bittersweet tale of love, loss, and facing up to the worst challenges in life. It's enhanced by a soundtrack consisting of a lively handful of pop songs, and Rolfe Kent's score, which mixes tenderness, eccentricity and humour to good effect.
