Binder of Bulova Accutron Service Manuals: Models 214, 218, 221, 230, and Series 244

Bulova Watch Company, New York circa Late 20th Century, Loose-Leaf Binder, approximately 8 1/2 x 11 inches

This exceptionally rare binder of Bulova Accutron Service Manuals, encompassing models 214, 218, 221, 230, and Series 244, stands as a definitive compendium for the repair and maintenance of Bulova’s groundbreaking Accutron timepieces. Housed in a sturdy loose-leaf binder measuring approximately 8 1/2 x 11 inches, the collection includes comprehensive service manuals, detailed parts lists, and supplementary inserts, offering a complete factory guide to the repair of these iconic tuning-fork watches. Notably, the front page preserves the original Bulova factory telephone numbers, a poignant detail anchoring the artifact to its historical context within the American horological industry.

The manuals, maintained in very good original condition, bear only the late owner’s name inscribed on the cover of the 214 manual, with no other significant markings. This pristine state enhances the binder’s value as a primary source for scholars and collectors of mid-to-late 20th-century watchmaking technology. The Accutron, celebrated for its revolutionary use of electronic tuning-fork mechanisms, represents a pivotal moment in horological innovation, and this binder encapsulates the technical expertise required to sustain its legacy. A singular artifact, it is an essential acquisition for bibliophiles and horologists seeking to preserve the material culture of precision timekeeping.

Good Luck!
