Note: This part has also been referred to as a joint assembly.   They are found behind each drum cartridge in the frame of the machine. Waste toner exits the imaging unit and drops into this short chute to then go into the Direct Pipe Assembly so it can make its way to the Toner Waste Container. When the foam pieces around the mouth of one of these pieces are decayed or damaged, toner will fall out and pile up near the rear of the inner cavity of the machine on the IBT belt, and the main transport drawer.
