Collector’s Note:
The owl-on-crescent-moon “TRADE MARK” design is a rare early pharmacy emblem that predates or paralleled the famous Owl Drug Co. bottles. Used by independent druggists in the 1890s–1910s, the crescent moon symbolized nighttime medicine and wisdom. These bottles are far scarcer than standard Owl Drug Co. pieces and prized for their distinctive imagery and sun-amethyst glass.
Rare antique apothecary bottle featuring an embossed owl perched on a crescent moon with “TRADE MARK” below.
Made circa 1890–1910 from manganese glass, this unique piece has developed a soft amethyst tint after decades of natural sunlight exposure.
