This listing is for a "Gameboy Advance Pokémon Cartridge Battery Replacement Service" for the Pokémon Ruby Sapphire Emerald versions. Other game batteries can be replaced upon request though. No games or systems are included with purchase, only the instillation of a new battery as detailed in the pictures above and the text that follows.
Upon purchase of one or more repair tickets, you will receive an eBay message (usually within 24 hours) with a USPS label broker ID showing a QR code with 8-10 characters bellow it, and brief text instructions on the recommended mailing practice. This label can be printed at home, or used to print the shipping label at your local USPS post office/self service kiosk. Your shipping and tracking is free! You are, however responsible for the initial packaging cost when mailing your game(s) in. This packaging often times is available at your local post office although you may use similarly sized options purchased elsewhere to fit your preferences.
Once I receive your game(s) the battery replacement turnaround time is typically completed on the same day, and mail returns will be completed on the next available business day.
Before any battery replacements are made the mail in game(s) will be tested on one or more of my applicable Nintendo consoles to ensure they arrive in working condition. You will be contacted at this point if any issues other than the dead battery error message arise. Once confirmation that the game(s) cartridge(s) are ready for battery replacement your game(s) will have the old dead battery removed by applying flux to the solder joints, heating the solder joints to remove the old battery tabs, and then wicking off the old solder. The new CR1616 (or otherwise applicable) battery will be soldered to the board and then cleaned from residual flux with 99% isopropyl alcohol. Once cleaned of flux the contact pins on the PCB will be cleaned with DeoxIT (as shown in picture 5) and then reassembled and tested again in order to make sure the new battery is functioning properly. You will then receive an eBay message noting the completion of the battery replacement and the return shipping and tracking status. Your new battery should last for another 10-20 years and increase the value of your GBA cartridge!
