The Smartmicro UMRR-0A is a 24 GHz Universal Medium Range Radar sensor designed for the detection of any reflectors in the field of view, to measure distance, the relative speed and angle to the shortest reflector, ( and to other reflectors), to detect motion and track it over time. It’s part of Smartmicro’s Universal Medium Range Radar (UMRR) family, which includes several models tailored for different use cases.
Real-time detection: Measures range, speed, and azimuth angle of all reflectors simultaneously.
Multi-object tracking: Can track and classify up to 64 objects at once—including vehicles, bicycles, and pedestrians.
High precision: Offers accurate speed measurement up to 300 km/h and operates effectively across multiple lanes (up to 4 or more).
Flexible installation: Can be mounted roadside, at intersections, on mast arms, or gantries.
Event-based triggering: Supports custom triggers for wrong-way detection, queue length, estimated time of arrival (ETA), and more.
All-weather operation: Performs reliably in adverse conditions like rain, fog, and darkness.

The detection range ultimately depends on the object size. Very large reflectors can be detected at a range of more than 500 meters.
