Description
Pretty Post War vintage late 1940s / early 1950s day dress made by the Gay Gibson label of a soft felted wool blend (? - there are no content labels) in a milk chocolate brown colour accented with ruffles of a cotton crotcheted lace. The tailored sheath cut dress features cuffed short sleeves, a fitted bodice with a small pointed collar, buttonfront opening to the nipped waist, darted bust and a side metal zipper opening. The attached skirt is a pencil cut with a knee length hem. The dress only partially lined in the upper half of the skirt.
MEASUREMENTS: No size labels ... bust measures 34 inches (therefore fits a size 32 or smaller bust best), the waist measures 25 inches and the hips are 36 inches. The dress is 38 inches in length. Please remember as always, leave room for you when using these measurements to determine fit. There is no stretch to the dress.
CONDITION: Very slight wear ... there is a tiny repair in the lower front of the skirt (see pic with my pencil pointing to the repair) ....overall, very good condition.
SHIPPING: Anywhere in CANADA - Free Shipping. INTERNATIONAL / anywhere outside of CANADA $16.00.
Payment is due within 7 days of purchase or the end of the auction.
Shipping
Sadly, due to the tariff situation with the United States, I have suspended shipping and selling to the USA. The massive increase in costs and complicated logistics no longer allow it to be feasible for me. I apologize. Hopefully, things will chnage for the better soon.
Shipping is always discrete. Buyers are responsible for any duty and/or customs fees that their country imposes.
Vintage Clothing
Often, I buy lots of the same item (particularly lingerie items). After I sell one, I will often list another .... the second item is NOT the first item you purchased. There is more than one.
