The Bioniq® Repair Toothpaste Plus breaks new ground with innovative solutions from biomimetics. The artificial tooth enamel smoothes the surface of the tooth enamel, making it very difficult for bacteria to gain hold. In addition, the Bioniq® Repair Toothpaste Plus with lactoferrin and hyaluronic acid contains two active ingredients that are known for their protective function against bacteria:
Lactoferrin is a natural antimicrobial agent that is also found in saliva. It is biologically active by supplying the bacterial plaque with the vital iron (lat. ferrum).
Hyaluronic acid is a well-known and proven biologically active ingredient. It supports the healthy moisture of the oral cavity. From a medical point of view, this moisture is very important because human saliva forms an important barrier against bacteria.
The artificial tooth enamel in the Bioniq® Repair products has a similar structure and composition to the basic building blocks of natural tooth enamel. It is deposited in the surface of the tooth and thus closes microscopically small defects. The first losses in tooth enamel, for example due to acids in food or drinks (so-called Erosion) are compensated for by the artificial tooth enamel.
With regular use, a protective layer forms that protects the natural tooth from wear and bacteria colonization. You can easily achieve this effect by brushing your teeth every day - morning and evening for two minutes.
