--"John Ek BR-EK2000, with a sheath that hasa pin through it to hold the knife extra securely--it's "JUMP SAFE".The knife measures 10-3/4" overall, with a 5-1/2" blade that is sharpened on the lower edge and is marked on the left side with the John Ek logo--crossed knives and: "Ek/ Commando", with: "1941" (the year the company was founded), "Korea", "World War II" and: "Vietnam", (w the knives were used.) On the other side marked Limited Edition. The handle is black micarta with three hollow rivets through it. The securing pin on the sheath goes through the front one; when it's home, it's snapped in securely. You can easily unsnap it to leave the knife in the friction-fit sheath, when you're on the ground. The sheath is Kydex, with plenty of loops and eyelets to attach the knife to a Alice pack, belt or harness."
