Near Fine with dulling to gilt at spine, light wear to extremities and light soiling to textblock edge. Faint offsetting to endpapers and staining to gutters (likely from printer's glue), slightly affecting first and last few pages. In a Near Fine unclipped dust jacket with light toning, soiling, and edgewear, short tear to front spine fold, and v-shaped tear to rear panel. Joshi I-A-17.
The second major omnibus of Lovecraft's work. The title story, first published in October 1919 in the amateur publication Pine Cones, features a backward Catskill killer turned asylum inmate patient who undergoes medical experiments to understand his dreams.
