Artist's Biography:

Peter Horowitz, Polish Jewish painter in the tradition of Arthur Kolnik, Moshe Bernstein, Mane Katz and others.
b. 1922, Borysław, Poland. Immigrated to Israel 1966.
Lived and worked in Hod Hasharon.
Died in 2005.

Peter Horowitz was born in Boryslav, Poland.
Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. After graduation he had several exhibitions in Kracow, and Warsaw.
In 1956, four of his works were exhibited at the biennale in São Paulo, Brazil.
In 1962, two of his works were exhibited at the Polish House in The Venice Biennale.
In 1966 he emigrated to Israel and settled in Hod HaSharon.
He created using the oil technique on canvas, his works depict landscapes, still lifes and portraits. Horowitz had solo exhibition at the Chemerinsky Art Gallery, Tel Aviv, in 1971.

Peter Horowitz (ur. 1922 w Borysławiu, zm. 2005 w Hod ha-Szaron) – izraelski malarz pochodzenia polskiego^.

Peter Horowitz urodził się w Borysławiu w Polsce, studiował na Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Krakowie. Po ukończeniu nauki wystawiał swoje prace w m.in. Krakowie, Warszawie. W 1956 cztery jego prace zostały wystawione podczas biennale w São Paulo w Brazylii. W 1962 dwie jego prace były wystawiane w Domu Polskim w Wenecji. W 1966 wyemigrował do Izraela i zamieszkał w Hod ha-Szaron. Tworzył stosując technikę olejną na płótnie, jego prace przedstawiają krajobrazy, martwe natury i portrety.
