Tips:
Do not charge any bad batteries: Avoid charging batteries that are damaged or faulty to prevent safety hazards.
Monitor battery temperature: When using the charger for the first time, keep an eye on the battery temperature to ensure it does not overheat or pose a risk.
Avoid improper battery connectors or polarity: Do not use the charger if it has an incompatible battery connector or incorrect polarity to prevent damage to the charger or the battery.
Avoid wet environments: Do not use the charger in wet or damp environments to prevent electric shock or damage to the charger.
Disconnect AC power when battery is fully charged: Once the battery is fully charged, disconnect the AC power source to avoid overcharging, which can damage the battery or pose safety risks.
Not suitable for lead-acid batteries: This charger is not intended for use with lead-acid batteries. Ensure you are using it with the appropriate battery types as specified by the manufacturer to prevent damage.
Here are the steps for inspecting a charger that does not work:
Test Battery Health: Before charging, check the battery's health, especially if it has been used for more than 12 months or left unused for 2-3 months.
Green Light On, Charger Not Working: If the green light is on when the charger is plugged in but does not work when the battery is connected and the green light remains on, it may be due to a mismatch between the charger's positive and negative connectors and your battery connector. Try changing the connector to match your battery.
Green Light On, Goes Off When Battery Connected: If the green light is on when the charger is plugged in but goes off when the battery is connected, there may be an internal short circuit in the battery. This can cause the charger's self-protection function to fail. In this case, check your battery for issues.
Green Light on Power Supply, Red LED on Device: When the charger is plugged into the power supply and the connected device's LED shows a red light, it indicates that the charger is working properly. Once the device is fully charged, the LED will switch to green. This color change signifies a successful charging process.
The charger is certified to one of these standards: UL 1012, UL 1310, UL 60950-1, or UL 62368-1, and be able to provide documentation showing the certification upon request.
