This a Lot of Four Pairs of Vintage Earrings for Pierced Ears.

The lot includes three pairs of Southwest earrings, and one pair of signed TAXCO Mexican earrings.

These beautiful earrings, offered together, will allow for a variety of great looks to complement various outfits.  The earrings in this lot are:

  • Southwest
    • Sterling silver hummingbird earrings, signed EH in script
    • Miniature leather boots with silver and turquoise concho trim
    • Turquoise earrings a combination of beads and nuggets in several different colors of turquoise
  • Mexican
    • TAXCO signed sterling and turquoise earrings.  The earrings are marked 925 TV-10 MEXICO.  The signature conforms to the Mexican government mandated in 1949 following the earlier Eagle Marking system, and remain in use until about 1979.  The first letter indicates where the earrings were made, in this case Taxco.  The second letter and the 10 indicate the silversmith was the 10th registered with initial V.

I do not know which, if any, of the three Southwest earrings might be Native American.  I found two possible attributions of the initials EH on the hummingbird earrings, Emery Holmes and Erwin Hoskie, in "Hallmarks of the Southwest, but I do not know if either is a correct attribution for these earrings.

We have a range of pieces listed including vintage designer signed and other costume jewelry, as well as antique and vintage fine jewelry in gold and silver, including Hallmarked English pieces, signed Mexican jewelry, and Southwest and Native American pieces.

Condition

The earrings are all in excellent condition.
