Materials: china coffee or chocolate pot, by sterling china, early 1900s Dutch figures, cobalt blue and gold gilt trim



Exceptionally large chocolate pot or coffee pot with Dutch figures on both sides, cobalt blue trim with gold gilt detailing. The pot was made by Sterling China, USA, in the early 1900's. This mark was used by Sterling China in 1917.

The blue is a style of Flow Blue. The pot is trimmed with gold and is decorated with decals on the front and back.


The pot features Dutch people in traditional dress on both sides of the pot. The top area of the pot and the lid is decorated with cobalt blue glaze. Gold gilt decoration has been applied to the lid, top of the pot, the spout, the handle and around the base.

The pot measures about 9" tall with the lid. It is about 9 1/2" wide from the spout end to the outside of the handle.


The pot has beautiful, all over crazing. Please see the photos for the condition of the images of the Dutch transfers.


This pot is very heavy to ship. The shipping weight will exceed 4 lbs.


This is a beautiful home decor piece of 1900's art.
