XJ Hood Louver! Now in a mini size. These are a must for your Jeep Cherokee XJ or Comanche MJ or what ever project you want them for. Beat the heat with these aluminum hood louvers. Cherokee’s and Comanche’s were not designed to handle the cooling demands of wheeling offroad. Stock and electric fans are not enough to handle the slow trail pace. Heat ends up rising to the top of the engine bay filling up the compartment with excess heat. This is called heat damming. The best way to handle heat damming is to vent the top of the hood. While there are many ways to do it. Hood louvers will present the best options. Plus they look amazing. Comes in raw aluminum with stainless hardware. But can be orderd in stain slack powder coating. Includes both left and right side. Drilling and cutting of your stock hood is mandatory for install. Ready to color match, or just leave it raw. It’s your Jeep.
Can be fitted to other vehicles. Each panel is 19″ wide by 10.75 tall.
How we make these XJ Hood Louvers
First we take sheets of .063″ 3003 Aluminum and place it on a CNC turret punch where is punches all the holes and 66 total louvers in the aluminum. Then it punches out the shape of each panel. Finally we hand finish every part and inspect for quality.
