Marie Osborne Yeats (November 5,1911 - November 11, 2010) autographed 4”x 6” index card signed in black ink on August 30, 1997. Credited as Baby Marie between 1914 and 1919, was an American actress who was the first major child star of American silent films. She was one of the three major American child stars of the Hollywood silent film era along with Jackie Coogan and Diana Serra Cary. As an adult, from 1934 until 1950, and now billed as Marie Osborne, she continued in film productions, although she appeared only in uncredited roles. In the 1950s, after retiring from the acting profession, she carved out a second career as a costume designer for Hollywood film. All of the autographed index cards we are now listing are from the famous all in-person collection of George Buddy Marshall. He was an inveterate autograph collector and friends with Jon Verzi, often collecting together along with Ken Smith and Janet Bruce. Verzi and Buddy often traded cards between each other as noted at the bottom of some of these cards with his typical printed info with dates. This collection ended up in Jim Weavers hands another famous collector when Buddy passed. All of the notes on the back of these cards are in Jim Weavers hand with the exception of some of the  Verzi notes at the bottom.
