Beyotime Sealing Film for Microplate, Clear, Heat/Cold & Solvent Resistant is a transparent adhesive film that can withstand low temperature down to -80℃, high temperature up to 90℃, and common solvents.
The use of this product can prevent the evaporation of liquid in multi-well plates, reduce cross contamination between wells, and improve experimental accuracy. It can be used to seal plates for ELISA and various colorimetric assays.
This sealing film is made of PVC, and it is self-adhesive, with good adhesion. As long as not contaminated, it can be reused for 3-5 times.
This product can be used to seal microplates for storing solutions prepared with common solvents such as water, DMSO, ethanol, methanol and acetone, but it is not compatible with isopropanol. Volatilization of isopropanol has a negative effect on the film.
This sealing film can withstand ultra-low temperature down to -80℃ and high temperature up to 90℃, and the adhesion is basically unaffected.
Please refer to Figure 1 for the size of this product. The total size is 8.5×13.5cm, the sealing part is 8.5×12.4cm, and the gripping part at one end is 1.0×8.2cm, which is suitable for sealing 48-well, 96-well, 384-well, and similar sized microplates.
One end of this product has a
gripping part of approximately 1.0cm in width (Figure 1), which is not
only easy to pick up, not easy to stick to the hands or gloves, but also
helps to accurately locate and quickly remove the sealing film.

This sealing film is transparent, making it easy to observe the color change inside the wells, but it is not suitable for applications that need to be protected from light, such as fluorescence assays. For opaque sealing films, we recommend Sealing Film for Microplate, White, Heat/Cold&Solvent Resistant (Beyotime, FSF021) or Sealing Film for Microplate, Black, Heat/Cold & Solvent Resistant (Beyotime, FSF025).
