HKCB1E 45° Elliptical Mirror Mount Kinematic Mirror Mount for Ø1" Optics 30mm Cage System SM1 Thread
Description:
HKCB1E right-angle kinematic mirror mount provides pitch and tilt adjustment for Ø1" (Ø25.4mm) optics fixed in the mounting plate. The mounting plate is at an angle of 45° to the nominal horizontal position. There are SM1 threaded holes and four smooth holes 0.25" (6.35mm) in depth at the ports. Their spacing matches our 30mm cage system as standard. Cage rods are secured with eight set screws using a 5/64" (2mm) hex wrench or a ball-end screwdriver.
Its design allows multiple 30mm cage assemblies to be connected directly without the need for cage rod adapters. The adjustable pitch and tilt adjustment plates on these cubes are actuated with three 100TPI adjustment screws for smooth, responsive movement at a resolution of 0.01 inches (0.254mm) per revolution.
Use a 5/64 inch (2mm) hex wrench or ball-end screwdriver to install the nylon head fixing screw into the rear-mounted stop hole of the kinematic mirror mount to secure Ø1" (25.4 mm) optics. This hole has a gap cutout to provide the maximum clear aperture for any transmitted light and provides space for handling the mounted optics. The rear-mounted design does not limit the thickness of the optics to be mounted. And the mounted optics can still be operated even if the cage rod or lens sleeve is mounted on the kinematic mirror mount. The minimum thickness of the optics that can be held in the mount is 0.12 inches (3 mm), and optics less than 0.12 inches (3 mm) in thickness need to be used with an optical spacer.
