The "Actual Results" photo was done with a Canon imageClass. The following models have been reported to work by customers: Kyocera TASKalfa 6053ci, Canon imageClass MF753Cdw, Roland TruVis MG-300.

The most economical reccommended printers are:

Laser: Cannon imageClass MF753dw ($400-500)

UV: Eufy ($2500)

Professional quality blank black core cardstock that is used by modern commercial TCGs in industrial offset printers.

Letter size  (8.5*11in) sheets. Fits in standard printers. A high gsm rated rear-fed laser printer is the most economical compatible printing technology. UV Inkjet produce professional results. It will likely jam any non-rear-fed printer. NOT COMPATIBLE WITH NON-UV INKJET PRINTERS.

• Laser Printers: Do not duplex. Use the rear-feed tray. Check the paper thickness gsm specification of your printer. The melted toner acts as a sort of varnish (water resistant, contributes some snap) which is on commercially produced cards. Use the highest thickness setting so that the printer uses the highest fuser temperature, or you may see flaking. You will need to tweak the settings of your printer and color management. The imageClass is only rated to 200gsm but works with the 330gsm. Some printers rated to 250gsm+ do not work. If it's rated to 300gsm, it should definately work, but these are expensive/hard to find. Laser printer thickness specs are unreliable.

• UV-Inkjet Printers: These are the best, but can be expensive. There are small flatbed models and big large format models. They can print on foil. You can get professional/commercial results from these because they have superb color/resolution, can apply a white layer, and a varnish layer. Combo roll/flatbed models can even be used for spot foiling.

Smooth Silk Finish (matte with a slight shine). Coated surface: Inkjet ink will not absorb. Must use a laser printer or UV inkjet printer. NOT embossed or linen finish.

Each letter size sheet fits 9 poker (63*88mm) MTG/PKM) sized cards.

300gsm black core = 275-285micron (best for vinyl sticker method)

310gsm = 295-305 micron (closest to pokemon)

330gsm = 325-335micron (closet to mtg)
