1996-97 Maggers Magnet and Paper Proof...

This lot consists of  the 6"x7.5" magnet as issued in it's original package with the "Premier Edition" checklist, AND the production paper proof of the Pittsburgh Penguins' Mario Lemieux, from the 1996-97 Maggers NHL magnets.  There was a brief flurry of the magnet-backed issues in dollar stores, but now that the dust is settled it seems that these may be a whole lot better than we thought at the time.  Here's a bit of trivia that you probably will appreciate.  The only checklist issued on the back of the packages lists 108 players,  but Mario  is #119.  This is because they had planned to do another run of 108 guys and skip-numbered the ones on the checklist... but of course the issue died before the second run became a reality.  The size is perfect for framing for your den wall.  Condition is of course, lovely mint, and will be sent well-protected.
