This product is a mixture of horsehair and hog hair and is popular as a watercolor brush for school children. The bristles are made from traditional animal hair (wild hair) and the synthetic fiber nylon. Different animal hairs are used depending on the purpose. Thick strong bristles are suitable for heavy viscous oil paintings while flexible bristles that can absorb paint well are preferred for watercolors. To make the most of your brush it is essential to take care of it after use. In particular if paint accumulates at the base of the bristles not only will it feel bad to use but it will also break and become unusable as a brush. From
