383 STROKER/ 400 BALANCER
Summary: Bought Speedways 383 rotating assembly to upgrade my 350. It wasnt until I had my local machine shop attempt to balance my parts did I find out that the 400 crank used in kit is externally balanced, my 350 balancer will not work as the 350 is internally balanced. Not a big deal, just a time delay and education. Almost think the balancer should be part of the rotating assy kit.

Summary: I have had great luck with this balancer. I turn my claimer engines just over 7k rpm and have had more than one oem replacement balancers come apart. This balancer has the added benefit of looking like a 350 balancer so everyone does not know at a glance that you are running a 383 or 400. Once the pulley is on it looks factory other than the timing marks which can be painted over if you wanted.
